Found your site googling for reviews on Gabare Farm in Saitama-ken. I'm thinking of wwoofing there...do you have any particular comments on this or other wwoofing experiences in Japan you may have had? I'm very interested in hearing reviews of wwoofing experiences from people who were there, before committing to something that I've seen on the net!

Bread!

There was some flour left from my cake, and I wanted to use it up; so I decided to make some bread. I made some sourdough starter first, but after only ~24 hours I used it already to make the bread.
Surprisingly, the bread rose quite a bit. Much more than I had expected... Usually the baker makes a cut (or several of them) on top of the bread to avoid what happened to mine: It openened up on the side... now it looks like the bread wants to eat you!

Eggless Cake II

Another cake made without eggs. Made from wheat flour (1050), curd cheese, yoghurt, unrefined brown sugar, raisins, potato, and a little oil and sea salt.
